I was trying to think of this at work earlier being Valentine's Day and all. Help me think of some good rock love songs (power ballads excluded). We can stretch the "rock" definition here. The only rules being: 1) no power ballads 2) no R&B 3) no country 4) no upbeat songs with "love" lyrics, slow only 5) no break-up, lonely songs

examples:

John Mellencamp - Ain't Even Done With The Night
Van Morrison - Tupelo Honey
John Hiatt - Angel Eyes
Bob Dylan - Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You
etc.....

Derek and the Dominoes - Layla

John Hiatt - Have a Little Faith in Me

But that might be pushing some people's definition of country.

EDIT: Ok, obviously it doesn't because you already have one John Hiatt song on your list. Good job reading before you respond dumbass.

Actually it violates rule #5. Layla is far from upbeat, rofl.

Ben Folds - The Luckiest

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris

Coldplay - I'll See You Soon

Well, if we're talking about the MTV Unplugged version, yeah. But if you're talking about the Derek and the Dominos version, we need to have a long talk.

"Fools Rush In," I beleive, was Ricky Nelson. I think you're thinking of "Can't Help Falling In Love."
