It's a little different than normal with the steps, though. Final table, 10 players left-- there's still time for me to come in with an open push later before I have to pay the blinds myself, and 4th is just as good as first.

I'm not saying you're wrong (I did push after all) but I'd like to know more about the thought process as applied to steps.

Thought process is that you have to come in 4th place, and there are 10 players left, so you've got a long way to go. Pretty good chances you have the best hand here, and possibly even dominating. It's not so easy to just steal the blinds without fail over and over.
I just think that based on your hand value, you need to play here. If you had 55, I would probably fold.

Do they have the steps on the partyskins as well or only partypoker itself?

Btw I definitely don't think that folding is terrible, but I could be wrong.
