I'm not a huge fan of either only becauset hese are both early in the tourny, in each case you're risking your whole tourny on TPTK with some scary flops.

Hand #1 isn't as scary since there's just a draw that he's unlikely to have since the ace is out there. My guess is if you lost this one, he got perfect-perfect for a club flush. Otherwise, I'd guess you got it or a split.

Hand #2- 9 out of 10 times, I'd bet that the SB has you beat. This is the hand I hate. Tourny's are about survival. I'm not going to go out of a tourny with TPTK on a monotone flop. In my mind, what's the SB going to have if he called after a (pathetic) raise and a (decent) re-raise?

The Turn bet is just a semibluff. The 2 of diamonds clearly didn't help you. So you bet all-in? You bet nearly twice the size of the pot... You're betting in a situation when you're likely way, way behind. I would think if the player is any decent, if he calls, you're toast. Take the free card and see what happens on the river.

BTW- If I flopped a set, you're the one person I'm not afraid of. You raised preflop... since the ace is on the board, no one is going to give you credit for the flush. The scariest made hand you would likely have is a set of aces.. though I'm betting most anyone would put you on an ace with a good kicker. If they're any good, they should know if they have you beat.

Curious to hear how they went. (Which SNGs are you playing? I play the $5.50 NL SNGs at PokerStars quite a bit.)
