The call on the river was easy for me...the question is, should I have bet out the flop and turn? Am I betting for value, here, as I believe?

Why did you call the river raise? The bet is fine, but fold to the raise.

Big pot, I'm closing the action, and I'm not even 50% sure I'm beat. Seems like a no-brainer call to me.

You don't have an overcard.

What hands are you putting the raiser and coldcaller on?

3-bet the river then.

Ok. I didn't have an overcard, and the river call was idiotic. My biggest leak is playing in the morning before I finish my second cup of coffee.

Are the early street bets for value, tho? I'm mostly trying to get a handle on betting for value with this thread.

Partly for value, but also partly to protect - which should always be on your mind. You flop bet offers 1:5.5 to the first caller, which would be incorrect for naked A, single /images/graemlins/diamond.gif and /images/graemlins/heart.gif hands to call. The more people that fold, the better chance your TPMK has to win.
