My thoughts exactly. After the C/R I figured he had a 4 and would just raise me again.

If you think about it, how many people actually c/r twice? Not a whole lot the more I think about it. The check/raise usually gives away you have a strong hand and if you honestly do then you'd bet the river and not have it checked down.
