I think I may do too much of this. I refuse to give up after 3-betting until I've put two bets in. Button is somewhat loose but not terrible and average aggression. Only 40 hands or so in pt.

I play this hand the EXACT same way.

I'm pretty sure the turn lead is required as it's too early to give up on yet. Many players will call the flop with nothing just to see the turn card.

I hope this line is +EV in the long run. (???)

Here's another question: Let's say he only calls your turn bet, and the river is another blank. Do you fire another bet on the river?

What would be the point? If he called the turn with a pair he'll likely call the river. And if he doesn't have a pair, his hand is worse than yours, and he'll undoubtedly fold the river. Consequently, I don't see any value to a bet, whereas a check may induce a bluff.

Yea, this line is pretty standard for me too. I guess I just wanted to see if it is for others.

The turn bet is the last one I put in though. Almost anyone who calls the turn is calling the river with anything better than nut no pair.

Ya, i just wanted to throw that second question out there... I wouldn't bet the river either (especially with this rather drawless flop).

I would just call the PF raise. Get your value in BB

I get more value with a 3-bet.

Hehehe.... I didn't want to be the first to respond to that post. I feel like I've picked on Willuck tonight.

So are you saying you would call him if you checked the river and he bet?

Are you saying you don't understand the point of a man who is earning 4BB/100 at the Party 2/4 tables?

Willluck

well lets say he is flat out trying to just steal the blinds, why not check-call let him bet away. and say if that A didn't hit, 70% of the time you could steal the pot w/ a turn c/r even if he has something like a small pocket pair.

To be honest, I'm not sure. But I do know that checkcalling and checkfolding are both much better than betting.

I just did a quick search. I think you meant to say 5.26BB/100. Man this guy is probably way over my head.

He's a god! I agree betting's out of the question, but I don't think check calling is profitable either.

Man, get with the program! Didn't you read where he said that he's been on a downswing, so now his winrate is just a shade under 4BB/100.

Okay so maybe that was a stupid thing to say. but when you 3 bet it pretty much makes you liable to lead the flop no matter how bad it is...and since he has position on you it makes it much easier for him to raise you. I guess I am just saying I don't like the PF 3-bet.

that was after only 6k hands, sorry for the inaccuracy.

Rude awakening, my friend. Rude awakening....

I can't wait until you play another 30-50K hands. I look forward to hearing your results then.
