Ive heard that cris is affiliated with americascardroom.I'm just wondering how this article at theprescription.com would affect them if it went thru. Its titled something like cris raided.Better yet how would it affect other sites like wsex, ladbrokes and other affiliated with sportsbooks.

the article ends like this!

"It is important to note that CRIS sports book hasn't been accused of any wrongdoing, and its operation will open again within the next 24 hours. "

apperently the police were looking for some guy that rented office space from them.

Yesterday afternoon the operations/offices of CRIS were "searched" by a somewhat overzealous joint Canadian/CostaRican operation looking for a person in connection with a very large Canadian fraud. This person at some stage gambled a large amount of money through an off-shore sports book that was not CRIS, however CRIS had in the past rented out office space to that sports book.

This all resulted in the CRIS operations being temporarily down for the past 24 hours and as our offices are on the same floor we too were effected with regards to not having access to our phone lines and primary office computers (emails etc).

It is important to note that whilst this has been a very unfortunate inconvenience to the CRIS customers (and those trying to call us, for which we apologize), there will be no effect to the ongoing operations of either CRIS or AmericasCardroom.

Both CRIS and ourselves expect to be back in our offices by this evening with full operations resuming as they were 2 days ago.

Kind regards,

"somewhat overzealous joint Canadian/CostaRican operation" ?

Could this be the Pan-American Strike Force we have heard about, and waited for?

why would anyone leave even $1 of their money with a pokersite who is associated/owned by a company that can possibly have all its assets frozen by the government of costa rica. if someone decides to mak an "international" point here, YOUR money is frozen too.
