I've used PokerTracker on several occaisons over the past few years and I don't know why exactly, but the effect on my game has really been negative.
While the stats geek in me loves the program, I find that I become a little too immersed in the statistics of my play at the expense of my feel for the game.
Perhaps it's just level of the maturation process that I have yet to achieve but it seems that when I am focused on "improving" my V$IP and Agression factors, or attempting to exorcise leaks, through analyzing PT stats, my game suffers. It's like I become too focused on MY game and less focused on THE game in front of me; if that makes any sense.
Anyway, just wondered if this common or not.
