I've been doing some thinking about how to modify my bubble play for the steps. Setting aside consolation prizes like getting sent back to a prior step, how does one adjust one's bubble play when all ITM spots pay the same? Much ICM-based pushing logic goes right out the window. ITM is ITM, at least in steps 1-4.

Comments?

Surely Adanthar at least has something to contribute here.

Short version:

In Steps 1-2, fold a bunch and wait for other people to make really horrible calls.

In Steps 3-4, be the second shortest stack or higher on the bubble, make sure the nearest medium stack to your left understands he isn't the table sheriff, then raise on his BB 100% of the time when you're first in and fold every other non-Group 1 hand (fold them to a raise, too).

How do you like those steps thus far?

I think it is easy to adjustint ICM to steps tourney to reflect the payout structure, the hard part is to develop an intuitive feeling for them. The lack of discussions here is one reason.

Post some hands.

Is this steps thing on Party? I'm sure somebody mentioned they where a while back, but I can't seem to find it.
