View Full Version : Anyone on a good streak?

Perseus

I posted this in the HUSH forum so I apologize to anyone who reads both.

There are so many depressing "I'm down xxx BB in the last two months kill me now" posts, and not nearly enough people posting good streaks. I want to read some optimistic "I'm up 4bb/100 over the last 15k posts"...so let's hear them.

Optimism only please.

I'm at 1.7bb/100 at Party's 15 for the last 17k hands. Neither good nor bad. Not gonna complain though in light of 2+2ers' recent events. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

P.S. Is this sustainable? /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm having my first "decent" month of my 3 months 4-tabling 5/10 (6-max). 8,600 hands, 2.65 BB/100.

No one cares about good news, we just want to revel in the misfortune of others. If you are down XX BBs, it really warms your twisted little heart to hear that someone else is down twice that. Besides, anyone on a good streak is too busy playing to post about it /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Speaking of which, I'm up 70 BBs over the last 500 hands, so I gotta get back to the tables. Bye /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

+165 BB in first 3k hands (>5 BB/100) in my new shot at 5/10 6 max. Woohoo! Of course, this just leaves me dreading the inevitable statistical correction. Does anyone else do this? I'm actually scared to cash out because I'm sure the downswing is coming. (not because of the cashout curse, just probability)

After years of only playing B&M, I opened a Party account on Wednesday so I could start playing online as well (I'm still playing b&m as much as ever as well; more actually). Today, I finished my first 1K hands of 3/6 and I'm up more than $500 (and I just cleared my $100 deposit bonus on top of that; interesting that it cleared right around the point that Pokertracker says I've paid $100 in rake).

lol, me too. It's amazing that I actually won any money last month as I was really worried about the games being tougher at 15/30. This month I'm having the best streak of my life. Life is great indeed!

add me to the "running better than god" camp. I had an unpleasant december, but things have turned around quite nicely.

I haven't played a real session in almost 4 weeks. I may not be making money but at least I'm prioritizing somewhat, which means my life is running good

Running okay lately, it's 1:30 and I'm still playing, which is a good sign for me.

I've been running at an unsustainable rate for 20k hands. Trying to sustain it anyway.

Is your avatar a picture of the aurora? Where are you from? I grew up in Alaska, and that is the only place I have ever seen the aurora as vividly as shown in your avatar (if it is indeed a picture of the aurora).

crushing the 10/20 games at a rate of 6.8 BB/100 hands for my last 4,000 hands. Of course that is really not a good streak... it is just that I have improved beyond perfection!

A total of 3.3BB/100 hands for the month of February so far.

I recently moved up limits and apparently picked a good time to do so. I mainly play NL 6 max, but am simultaneously clearing the pacific bonus.

Currently things look like this

50NL 6 max: 1,771 hands 18.3 BBs/100 (big bets from poker tracker)

Also last night dual tabling 1/2 limit at empire and pacific I went up 83 Big bets in about 2 hours.

It's nice, specially since Im trying to save money for vegas right now.

Can't tell about his position in the first picture, but he's way back on his ski's in the second. And where the hell does his left hand think its going--decided not to participate in the skiing that day apparently. And on powder too. Very -Ev.

Official brag thread?

In the last 3 tourneys I played, I placed 4th in a Large Caps tourney and 6th in a Paradise 50k R&A for a total of 5k, which is bigger than my bankroll was previously.

Both tourneys, I was all in at the final two tables with a big underdog; 44 vs. 99 and KQ vs. QQ.

I won /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm on a good streak indeed!

When I first started playin Hold'em a couple of months ago I deposited $500 at Party and cleared the $150 bonus with break even play at 0.50/1.00.

Not too happy only breaking even, I've spent the last four weeks studying the essential 2+2 literature and reading the forums here without playing a single hand online (used Turbo Texas Hold'em for practicing).

I returned to Party 0.50/1.00 about a week ago and I'm up 173 BB on the 733 hands played so far (24BB/100). I'm not good enough to multitable yet, but I'll get there eventually. I hope this streak lasts until then. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm curious to see what my winrate will converge to after 20k hands. A good start though.

olavfo

P.S. My sincerest thanks to 2+2 Publishing for the literature they provide.
