I just moved to this table, we are just barely in the money, around 35 left. I am around 3rd or 4th in chips in the tourney. How do you approach this hand?
(This is a 50 dollar multi, 360 entered)

I think in this situation I might just check it along for the river and hope the board pairs. If not, then you just use your instinct when you're bet into on the river. If he checks, you check along and if you win you win, if you lose to the flush/straight, well that's too bad.

Somehow, though, I doubt he'll check along on the river if he has the made flush. He'll at least stab at it. I'd say maybe just call the river bet so long as it isn't too huge, because I know I couldn't give up my set based on the prospect I might be beat; Then again, I have a bad habit of calling [censored] sometimes to keep people honest, which has lead to me losing money. Use my advice at your own peril.

So you bet t3600 into a pot of t3000 and BB calls. I think we can rule out AQ b/c I think he would have raised PF or check-raised on the flop.

When a blind smooth calls an overbet, and I have no information on what type of player he is, I tend to slowdown when a scare card hits the board (I feel the diamond here is a scare card). That being said, I still feel a bet on the Turn is my play here. There is t10,200 in the pot. Hero has t22,500 and BB has t18,900 after Turn card hits. I'm betting t5500 after his Turn check.

I really don't think he calls 3600 on the flop without a made hand. He could have the flush draw, but Qx, Tx or 2 pair seem more likely to me.

I bet something like 7K and call him if he goes over the top. This can pick up the pot or induce a raise from a 2nd-best hand. If you get your chips in here you can still pair the board to win even if he has the flush.

Whether he checks or bets on the river, I'm all-in.
