Read I had on the guy: VERY aggressive, but I haven't noticed him showing any of this aggression without having something, so I assume such a big turn bet (I checked because I knew he would raise over me big if I bet) meant he at the least hit those trips, if not boated with a smaller set of trips. Hes been playing flopped trips with that small raise on flop, big turn bet, than that huge over-push on river.

I raise more PF out of position, atleast to 4XBB, probably 5XBB. Bet more on the flop, atleast 3/4 of the pot.

Bet pot on turn. If he is still there by the river, block bet 1/2 pot or something.

I hate the lay down. I think checking the turn is allright, but you must call. At the flop, your weak bet looked like over cards trying to pick up the pot, and if he is aggressive he could have popped you back with nothing, or more probably a middle pocket pair. His turn bet is not big at all, it's merely 2/3 of the pot. If you check the turn, call and lead the river for 1/2 pot, if he re-raises you big, you can lay it down, but most of the time I think it will serve as a value bet.

BTW, how PF-loose is he? Would he call that raise with A5s, A4s or even worse?

You showed weakness twice with your flop call and turn check. That's no way to play rockets.

On the flop re-raise the pot and fold to a re-reraise. Or call the flop raise and bet the pot on the turn.

Good observation....now put it to use.

Call the turn and fold on the river if he does his patented overbet push.
