Duke is the best team in the country

I have attended thousands of live sporting events in my life and last nights Duke/Maryland game might top the list.

I was the guest of a vendor who had floor seats next to the TV table. The intensity of the players and fans was something that I have never witnessed.

As far a Duke being the best team in the country their lack of depth prevents them from earning this distinction. The talent level of the starting five is exceptional but the dropoff when they are out of the game is precipitous.

I also believe that JJ Redick played the entire 45 minutes. By overtime he appeared exhausted as a result of the pace of play.
