Looking for Opinion on My Chips

Inspired by Slow Play Ray's custom TR Kings, I decided to mock up my own.

All comments are greatly appreciated.

I like it.

A simpler look might be to just have the single falcon. It is enough of an icon that it might not even need text.

I have a similar design where I've got a front image with text and image (griffon) and on the back the griffon slightly larger to fill the hole chip as a gray background image. Denominations on top of that in red - no denoms on the front.

For some reason I can't export images that work from this box /images/graemlins/frown.gif otherwise I'd post. Have to do it from the Mrs machine

Updated the Chips a little.

Toned down the Gradient, so it's less obtrusive.

Got rid of the Falcon head, and switched over to the 3/4 statue view, and offset it.

Moved the text around a bit to get more space.

I like the update much better. Nice theme. Great flick.

Like the idea, the colors and the font on the text. I think having the 1 image rather than the 3 is a big improvement.

However, to my taste, the actual falcon image struck me as a little "clunky" and out of place--in part because the lettering seems to be on the elegant and small side. (Also, I'm not personally a fan of that particular image.) I would think something more elegant and stylized would work better (i.e., like a somewhat abstract line drawing of a falcon, etc. Something along the lines of this perhaps (Palmas chips) (http://pokerchipreviews.com/pix/palmasclub1.jpg))?

If you want to use this particular image, maybe try a different font for the lettering (something more "blocky" and old fashioned and bigger) and increase the size of the denomination. The image is somewhat oldfashioned looking, changing the font/lettering could get you a real "old school" looking chip.

The photo of the Falcon was used primarily as a test, it's a screencap poorly edited to just get the outline.

Obey, so Tracer has an idea of what he can fix... what exactly did you think was lame?

Tracer.. the font is LongIsland on the denominations.

I like the 2nd one, but I'd go without the denoms.

I like that one, except for the denoms on the 1000+ chips.I think it would be better if the denom didn't overlap the falcon, but I'm not sure how'd you would get everything to fit. Have done one without a denom?
