I want to double check this one, FH this was an easy fold for me, is it still in SH?

Typical table, I've got TT on the button, UTG raises, MP cold calls, and the CO 3 bets, I folded

i was thinking it was fairly routine but on the button i am going to cap unless i think the 3 better is a rock in which case i might fold - i would probably fold after similar action in the SB

Cap.

Someone here once said that "in SH games, TT is a monster."

I forget who said it, but it is a good motto to remember when you want to fold TT on the button or in any other position.

Why?

TT is good, but very vulnerable.

Against an UTG raiser and a 3better, without a read this can get you into terrible spots where you're stuck for lots of money on later streets.

Capping also disguises overpairs that may be out there, so you really dont know where you stand.

Of course this is very read dependent, I only play it this way if i'm new to the table and dont have reads.

I think this fold is definitely wrong. Interestingly, I folded TT in a SH game for the first time ever yesterday after a supertightie open-raised UTG and got threebet by a solid player UTG+1.

I had the best hand. They had AK and 88. I suck.

Your going to flop set or better 11.8% of the time.
