You have 800 chips man. You need to see a flop. That bet is near suicide unless you hit.

I especially dont like your bet on the flop. Preflop was not good, imho, as you have limpers and you are in early position.
But the flop was bad imho because you are out of position against somebody that has called your raise. I would say check.

Seriously, bro, what are you doing? Anyone with as many 2+2 posts as you have shouldn't be playing this poorly. Your pre-flop raise is a "D," your flop bet is a "D-" and your fold to the all-in is an "F." Do yourself a favor and read every thread in this forum, beginning with Aleo's SNG guide, before you start up even one more game for real. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but we all need a little "tough love" from time to time. 2+2'ers are (much) better than this.

Good luck to you.

Agreed on all counts.

this is not nearly as bad as others are saying.

that said, it's pretty bad.

the reason is that your stack (and the stacks of your opponents) are too short relative to the size of the pot to see a flop. (also your hand is a terrible hand to see a big-pot flop with) you must bluff on the flop if you miss it- and this guarantees that you will either be eliminated or crippled quite often. you can't accept that in an SNG.

your line would be fine if the stacks were 2.5k.

considering your stack size, you should have either checked or pushed preflop. pushing is probably best, since your opponents will both fold nearly 100% of the time- and if they do you will increase your stack by nearly 20%.

holy [censored], after posting this, I still didn't realise I didn't have top pair.

Although the preflop might have sucked (I had the read that they folded to just about any raise, so I took my chance with a decent hand), I thought I flopped top pair, and this hand just reeked of pocket pairs to me. I can't believe I thought I had top pair. Gotta stop playing while cooking.

Disregard what I posted.

Did you mean to say:

Gotta stop folding imaginary top pairs fearing sets with stacks this short. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I want a very good flop. If I flop an ace or ten I may get involved, but I'll still generally tread with caution.

Edit: The post flop play is very opponent specific.

With ATs, I think flopping a royal would be a better plan.
