poker calendar quote (semi-OT)

My girlfriend got me a poker page-a-day calendar as a semi-joke gift. As she suspected, it's pretty high on the comedy scale, mostly the unintentional variety. This is my favorite entry so far:

In 1909, two Missouri assemblyment introduced a bill to the state legislature to control and license poker players to prevent "millions of dollars lost annually by incompetent and foolish persons who do not know the value of a poker hand"

haha, got that calendar as a gift too, thought it would be cool but then every other day is like stupid definitions and hand rankings. O well, at least they have some dumb funny days like that one.
