this situation popped up on me last night while playing at viejas. I was on the button and had AAA2 suited. at the end I shared the low with someone else having A2. I was curious what the probability I would get quartered when having the nut low with that hand.

Thanks,
Melch

There are 48 unseen cards, one ace, three two's and 44 other. The probability that someone was dealt an A2 is =
P=1*3*(44 choose 2)/(48 choose 4)= 1.94%. Multiply that by number of opponents and you get the probability that anyone was dealt it.

ie. 9 opponents * 1.94% = 17.5% or 1 in 5.7 hands.
