I have heard a lot of people saying that they feel some top tournament players owe some of their success to the fact that they have staked many players in the events they play in.
Although only one that I have heard of actually forbids his horses to check-raise him, it is reasonable to assume that these people who rely on you to buy them into the tournaments might not play as aggressively against you as they otherwise would have.
How much of an advantage would it be to have ten horses in a 300 player field?

(including yourself) 11/300 = 0.03666-- so roughly it would give you a 4% advantage. Now, I'm just throwing a simple number out there, so I'll leave the true calculations to the math whizzes.

I'm sure it also depends on how many make it to the final table with you and how many are seated at your table.
