First hand of a tournament, 11 people, 1,250 chips, blinds at 25-50. I'm in the BB with K3.
Three people limp in and I check. Flop comes K-3-9, two spades. I lead out with a bet of 200, two callers. Turn is a red 7. I bet 250. One guy calls, one guy raises to 650. What is your play here? How do I avoid betting so much of my stack here on the flop and turn? I just don't see how I can not bet that flop and perhaps make the flush draws pay. I definetly did not want to be involved in a hand for all my chips on the first hand with a K3. Did I bet too much on the flop or turn?
