The $25.00 free promo for Emerald poker is over, as well as the $75.00 for 25 deposit. They said that 10,000 people signed up and they ran out of money (thats $250,000.00.) They (live floor person) said they might have difficulties giving all that signed up their money. oh well, they also said there will be more promos in the future. I just hope they work on the program if they want to get more business.

In the short time period it was available, I would be amazed if 200 players took them up on the $25 offer.

Yes, I think the live host typed 2 or 3 extra zeros in the figure, slight exageration, actually 200 would cost em $5000.00 - I think they should avoid any more advertising till they get the site playable, well , I got my 25.00 and lost it in about 15 minutes lol

Actually Pro poker is the worst and emerald is a strong 2nd. Their software sucks// the cards are so small you need binoculars to see them. BTW the hosts' there are full of shit. They didnt give away 10000.00..Just look at the site only 15-18 people playing.. They will be out of buisness soon like all of the rest of the new shit sites that dont advertise.

You obviously havn't seen Nuttz.com yet, they are the worst, at least propoker has bots....

WEll, I don't think there is a shortage of deals for sign-up bonuses. Just check any of the poker support sites and you'll see lots and lots of sign-up deals /images/smile.gif

what are the address of support sites

08-23-2002, 01:59 AM
pokerxtreme.com

onlinepokerreview.com

pokerpulse.com (for stats)

The ones I know of off hand.

any to add to the list?

for the sake of argument, let's say ten people received their free $25 each

that's $250 on the table for one game

60 hands per hour at $1 rake each = $60 off the table, back into the site's coffers

dismissing real-life practicalities for an instant, without players having to buy in again, whoever is "winning", there is no money left on the table after a four hours long game - the site has it all back again

good promo

That makes a lot of sense, I don't think the promo broke them, The information I got from the person I talked to was skewed, They gave away $10000 (thats 400 new accts or with the 75.00 bonus added maybe 250 or 300. I got an email saying there is another bonus of some sort starting today.

Just downloaded the software and had a look at the site. You say that they gave a 25$ promo and a 75$ for 25$ promo for 10,000 signups. Is this correct? My (very) basic math says that they could have given away $750,000(10,000x25$ + 10,000x 50$). If this figure is incorrect and I have made my calculation using the wrong information then I apologise, but whether it's 3/4 mill,1/2 mill or 1/4 mill its a lot of cash to give away! With all this free money given away the site must have a lot of player traffic...Had a look..Yep,..lots of traffic..3,yep,that's right 3(THREE)players on the entire site. 3/4mill for 3 players!! Wouldn't it have been better to spend some of that money on advertising and did they really give away all that money?....Um..I wonder?

They gave away 10000$ in promo money, not 10000 accounts, I believe.

Right, sorry about the confusion in the earlier post, it says right on the website that they were giving away 10000 dollars, also the promo did not just start, I think it has been in the works for a while. They did tell me that I would qualify for a free 50.00 if I deposit 25.00 - not the 75, since I already got 25.00 -

The main thing they have to work on it the blinds, I did not have to post blinds when I sat in a game till they got to me (while receiving cards), and even then I inadvertanly skipped paying the blinds because of a slow pc prob. I still got cards and I still lost. (poker karma again, for me trying to cheat the damn blinds)
