I'm curious how some of the other posters handle this situation?

Throw your hand away like it was irradiated.

The bet obviously looks really fishy, but without knowing the player Im gonna give him the benefit of the doubt, especially since you have someone left to act behind you. Even against a nut flush draw you're pretty much a coinflip, and if youre behind youre crushed.

Easy fold.
1) Most likely he had AA ,KQ ,KJ or KT. perhaps two pair or a set. he pushed after you showed strengh pre flop. you are beat chuck. the slim chance that he semi bluffed a flush draw is not worth a call.
2) Are you going to reward him for overbeting?

Hero bites the bullet and folds.

Scuba,

You already know the answer to this. Think about your risk/reward ratio here.

Yugoslav

BTW This is another good example of why QQ is not nearly as good in early SNG play as many think....

Hero bites the bullet and folds. Well said.

This is another good example of why QQ is not nearly as good in early SNG play as many think.... Thus the reason for the post.

I see this kinda thing all the time. It never ceases to amaze me how many chips some people are willing to put in the pot with top pair and a mediocre/crappy kicker. This was truly a situation where BB was only going to get called with a hand that beats him. Absolutely baffling!!
