I always find myself kinda puzzled by these flop all-ins at Party 6-Max, these players are driving me krazy (what a pun !)

Table Table 14286 (6 max) (Real Money)
Seat 4 is the button
Total number of players : 6
Seat 1: ( $48.15 )
Seat 3: ( $54.45 )
Seat 5: villain ( $52.75 )
Seat 6: ( $57.91 )
Seat 10: ( $87.55 )
Seat 8: hero ( $47 )

Hero in SB

** Dealing down cards **
Hero [ Jd Jh ]
folds.
folds.
villain calls [$1].
calls [$1].
hero raises [$4.5].
folds.
villain calls [$4].
calls [$4].

** Dealing Flop ** [ 4s, 5c, 3d ] 3 players (pot around 15)

hero bets [$10].

Hero calls.

Isn't udrawout playing his set the proper way on a coordinated board ? That is what I would assume unless he is an idiot and has 7 7 - 99 .

If you know them to be aggressive you are ahead enough of the time to be correct IMO. They really could have hands like A5, 86 and especially 88-99.

Yeah that's why I think my call is not real good here, but I'd like to know if there's a case to be made for the call, given the circumstances (party, 6-max..), I don't want to start using that as an excuse to call all the time either.

And oops, forgot to change the names at the end there, lol.

But against an unknown, you'd fold then ?

i call. i'd expect to see 34 (i think he'd play 2 pair or a str8 a bit slower), 45 or 56 or an overpair under yours. he could also have squat like AK or AQ.

Against an unknown in the 50$ NL Its a tough decision, but I think I would tend toward a call. Yes you will find a set some of the times, but you will find a lower pocket pair or a pair of fives a lot more I think. A made straight would not raise all-in here also.

I'd make this move with a set against any typical party fish, because I know most typical party fish are not going to get away from most any overpair. Lay it down, and wait for a you're more sure of.

It's been a very long time since I've played the 50NL, but at 100 I'd call this against an unknown 100% of the time. You can expect to see 22-TT frequently, maybe even Ax from some people. You are in good shape against that range of hands.

what would you do against a typical party fish if you had TT and you were the second one to talk after the 10 $ bet ?

I agree--at Party 50, this is a sure call against an unknown.

i dunno about a call. the hero raised preflop so villan has to be aware of the overpair possibility... i may have folded.
who pushes into that bet/PF raise without a hand?

Every hand that can beat ace high.
