Wow. My plan erm....

I think you have to check here. The two preflop weirdo's have position on you and at this moment in time you can't really have any idea where you stand in the hand.

From the preflop play the button might have a good drawing hand and was building the pot (JTs/T9s) or maybe a mid pocket pair that he is just building. MP, I have no idea.

I check, see what they do and call a smallish flop bet. I think you could easily get trapped here by someone slowplaying a 7. I think that there is a good possibility that one of these idiots has a big pair.

odd hand, just odd /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

yeah, that is a weird bunch of min raises. You're either moderately ahead or way behind on the flop. I think you check, expecting MP or button to bet. Raise the pot vs. a small bet or reraise if they're doing that min raise crap again. If you get called, you're done with the hand unless the turn is a 9.

This is my play on the flop and turn. What do you think?

SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, MP bets $1, CO calls $1, Button calls $1, SB calls $1, BB calls $1, Hero raises to $10, MP folds, CO calls $9, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds.

Turn: ($39) 2/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero bets $14

Crazy hand TWP!

Question...

a. You dont like open raising 99?
b. This sorta looks like a form of collusion. Like 2 players at the same table with good hands will min raise back and forth stringing everyone else together along with it.

Given how the PF went down, (which is.. bizzare) first wait until the SB and BB act.

My plan is to play this cautiously, I'm not about ready to give the hand up, but it's already weird. I dont like betting here, FWIW.

Interesting CO called MPs bet and then called your bet. Typically someone with trips doesn't go call-call. So it looks like a draw.

Ad the turn is a blank, I like your bet. Would have to see stack sizes again to say how much i like it ;p

I like the flop raise to see if you can take it down there.

On the turn I think the following reasons make the bet ok

* The villain has little behind given the pot size (the $14 puts him all in right?)

* I can't put the villain on a range of hands /images/graemlins/tongue.gif. You may have the best hand right now

* He might just lay down a big pair

* The fact that he didn't raise the flop back at you means I think a 7 is an unlikely holding

OK, so looks like no one hates my play. I really didn't want to lose my whole stack with 99 (thought it might all go in preflop .50 at a time!) but on the flop I really thought it was likely that I had the best hand. So, anyways, he folded and I took a nice pot. Thanks for the responses!
