No, but the KQs guy isn't going anywhere and he probably shouldn't.

Tough position. Its at the build stack stage, you need chips. Time to gamble, you have the best of it.
The KQ has an up and down str8, flush and a gutshot str8 flush draw and as the previous poster says, at this stage in a torney he/she isnt going anywhere (suprisingly, alot of players would dump the draw if it cost all thier chips).
I would have played it the same as u.. as I say, most good players would drop that particular draw.
Some would say call the all in and then on 4th create a sidepot if no 9's, A's or diamonds drop BUT I see this as a weak passive sucka play which will allow the drawers in to suck you out more often than they should. My philosophy in this position is, u want to draw its going to cost you all the chips you or I have. Thats the decision you gave him. He was incorrect to take it but did and got lucky. Bad for you then but great for us all in the future.
ul but good play

just calculated odds using the tool at cardplayer.com and got these numbers which actually made me feel better about it as there was a solid chance they would draw out on me -

short stack - 5%

villian - 34.1%

hero - 60.9%
