Hi Everyone:

We need a cover designed for our upcoming book Getting Started in Hold 'em by Ed Miller. The dimensions of the book are 5 1/2" by 8 1/2". If you want to use cover blurbs (and we like this) use:

Nuts and Bolts

Limit Hold 'em
. Sample Hands
. Preflop Standards

No Limit Hold 'em
. Overview
. Understanding Stack Size

Tournament Hold 'em
. Satellite Strategy
. Sit 'n Go Strategy
. Multitable Strategy

Evaluating Your Play

The winner will get a complete set of our books, a $300 cash payment, and a Two Plus Two Publishing Logo Shirt. The cover will be chosen at the end of this month.

Best wishes,
Mason

Have a novice walk by a poker table. At the poker table, it's Phil Ivey playing David Sklansky. Ivey says "no string bets, bitch" and Sklansky says "Do you see why?"

Then the title: Getting started in hold em.

I like the sound of that t-shirt!

btw what should I do with my (losing) entry, email it to you? Furthermore do you need front and back covers, or just the front?

Hi jdl22:

It's not a t-shirt. It's a 100 percent cotton polo shirt and the brand is Stedman by Hanes. Like our books, we only go first class. We expect to have the shirts in about a week.

As for the cover, post a picture of it here, and we'll use our standard design for the back cover so the front cover is what we're looking for.

Best wishes,
Mason

This book is not being written by the Matador. The deck only has one Kd. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well, all other 2+2 book covers make you smile when you see the bad beat, this one delves into a deeper side of the poker world, rigged decks.

Plus, it adds a special touch upon repeat viewings since it is so subtle.

Edit: The 2+2 publishers will also be happy to find out my submission falls within the diameters outlined.

Hi Everyone:

Perhaps my first post caused some confusion. "Nuts and Bolts" is not the title of the book. It is the title of the first section inside the book. Thus it should just appear as one of the blurbs on the cover.

Thanks,
Mason

Nuts and Bolts is not the title of the book.
