A live 10/20 game. Pretty standard game, but it's almost closing time and the button is drunk and getting crazy. Hero is early middle pos. AJ diamonds.

UTG limps, Hero MP1 limps (AJd), cut off limps, button limps, small blind raises, big blind calls as well as everyone else.

Flop: K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif A /images/graemlins/spade.gif 6 /images/graemlins/club.gif

Small blind bets, folded to hero who calls, cut off folds, button raises, small blind three bets, hero calls, button caps, small blind/hero calls.

Turn: Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif (K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif A /images/graemlins/spade.gif 6 /images/graemlins/club.gif )

Small blind bets, hero calls, button calls.

River: 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

Small blind bets, hero raises, button folds, small blind folds.

I'm wondering about my flop play here. I didn't think my hand was good and didn't think that hitting my jack would be good either. Should I have raised or folded the flop instead? What are the odds I need if I'm basically playing two backdoor draws here? Also, who likes raising preflop here? I'm not so sure about that.

*Small blind folded AQ off.*

definite raise preflop, this is universally agreed upon on these forums. raise the flop.

Yup yup. Raising this hand PF and on the flop makes it so much damn easier to play. You had no idea whether your hand was good on the flop, you should have raised it there too.
