If you choose another, state which.

Studio only, although HTWWW is mindblowing.

I really hate to be a fgt, but mine is Stairway.

This poll is incomplete without Tangerine

Although this isn't my favorite Led song I know many people for who it is.

It was done on the fly. I like "Tangerine" a lot, but III is rarely a staple in my cycle so I forgot it. Thanks for mentioning it.

"All of My Love"
"Good Times Bad Times"
"Ten Years Gone"
"No Quarter"

Add those too.

Incomplete poll. There are too many excellent songs that I can't just pick one.

It's interesting because Im listening to Going To California as I read this post, which is a favorite of mine.

Maybe I'm too drunk to see it, but somehow Achilles Last Stand appears to be missing. Hm? Very much my favorite Zep song, and I'm not alone.

Stairway to Heaven.

I don't know how anyone could pick something besides this song.

Guys, guys, I know. I picked common favorites. Would be quite a length poll if I included everything good.

Actually, so many Zepplin songs are good that it is tough to pick one. I think maybe the most underrated song is "In the Light"

"The Rain Song" is missing. This is my current favorite.

"All of my Love" deserves mentioning. I think the conclusion here is that Led Zeppelin is too amazing to even try to get an agreement on what their best song is. They rule too much.

Agreed.

That probably nails it. They are one of the greatest ever.

It's like asking for the best Beatles song (Revolution!).

The solo midway through FITR is great. The drumming throughout also.

Going to California

Spent my days with a woman unkind, she smoked my stuff and drank...all my wine.

Made up my mind to make a new start. Going to California with an achin....in my heart.

Someone told me there's a girl out there, with love in her eyes and flowers....in her hair.

Groovy totally sunday afternoon chill song. Best one.

Anyone else suprised by Fool in the Rain's strong showing? I voted for it, but didn't know it was so popular.

Zep is one of those groups that haven't really done a bad song, at least none that I can think of off hand. I don't have all their albums, maybe five or so, but of those five there isn't a single song that I skip past. To me that's the mark of excellence!

I cannot listen to either of those without singing along and annoying the piss out of everyone around me.

Agreed, this is not only the best Led Zepplin song, but also the best "Song" ever period.

"When The Levee Breaks" is arguably my favorite song of all time. But I have to give a nod to "Dazed and Confused", "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" and "Good Times, Bad Times."

Aye, hardly washed up at the end were they? Some of Percy's best lyrics, too. Four stone masterpieces from the Polar '78 sessions: FITR, Suarez, Ozone Baby, & W&T, plus a bunch of other good ones.

Amazing how well Page & Bonzo played at Knebworth for how horrible they both looked. Intervention was desperately needed... /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I was just getting ready to post the same thing. I love FITR, but I know a lot of people who don't, mostly Europeans who favor the earlier albums. FITR is defo more popular in America, IMO. Fantastic song, all four of them played superbly on it, esp. Bonzo.
