Just curious, I know that suited cards, heads up, are supposed to increase preflop odds by 4%. What is the level of probability increase for connectors? one gappers? two gappers?
Just in case it matters/for the sake of argument, if this matters J/T to an under pair...

A little help please?

I am not sure what information you are looking for. If you could be more specific I might be able to answer it. Basiclly when you go from JT to J9 you loose about 600 flops that would have given you a straight or 8 outs to a straight. This is about 3% of the boards. When you go to a two gapper you loose another 600 flops, or around another 3%.

The original argument,(which I probably should have explained originally) was what is the best way to handle a situation in tournament play if you read your opponent for an underpair. Obviously, it's best to have an overpair to call an all-in bet preflop, but my roommate and I were disputing on what the exact probability of overcard suited connectors to them would be. I know that being suited increases the win ratio by 4%, but I wasn't sure how to calculate the increase of probability for those cards being connectors, being 1 or 2 gappers, etc.
Thanks for the help,
Ez

Not sure I'm capable of doing the math to "prove" this one way or the other, but it seems to me from some pokenum examples that your suited overcards to the pair are basically a 50/50 race regardless of the gap.

Now I understand what you are looking for. For each increase in Gap you loose about 1.5% of the probability you will win with two overcards. Going from no gap to a one gapper costs you about 1.5% on the win rate.
