Pretend that you'd been born a smokin' hot chick.

For the sake of this scenario, let's say that you're a 9.5... amazing body, pretty face.... but NOT hot enough to become an international supermodel or movie star.

You also are very intelligent and have the resources available to go to college and pretty much enter any field you want.

The question: Do you instead use your looks to make a living?

If so, how?

this is flawed. There are models and actresses that are <9.5

I guess it depends. I personaly would use my looks to make tons of money and then do whatever i wanted. But i pretty much do that already anyways.

i think this has been studied & cited formally somewhere; that attractive ppl (men & women) are just more successful. People are just more inclined to forgive their trespasses, give them opportunities & *want* to like them.

Also agreed, but that's not the point.

The point is: Do you challenge yourself by trying to become a lawyer, doctor, scientist, etc... or do you take the easy money?

Well, I agree with your first post. I would make a boatload of money (although I would sacrifice some in order to not have to do anything too demeaning), then do whatever the eff I want.

Of course, I'd probably get bored and become a scientist after a while.

the point is that 'challenging yourself' is a subjective thing. i could challenge myself much harder than tiger woods to play golf and he would still beat my ass. even if a hot girl goes into a deep career their looks will help them. if they skip the career path they'll attract a better mate easier. whatever path they select in their life will be easier for them than it would be for a less attractive woman.

Since, in this example, Im attractive it would be the perfect opportunity to create some sort of reality show or something where I play poker and then have fun when Im not playing. Everyone wants to look at me and at the same time I could challenge myself with poker. It would be the perfect setup.

Do the people on the floor at the car auctions get a cut of sales, or are they straight wages? If they get a cut, I wonder how much that chick got that helped the guy who broke the record at Barrett-Jackson by bidding $3M (pluss $240k commission) for a car. She completely worked him. She wasn't uber-hot, but her looks and personality were definitely an asset for her there.
