View Full Version : Party Poker 15/30 . . . I Surrender

I have now played about 12,000 hands of the 15/30 games at Party Poker.

Although I am only about $2,000 down over that time, I have come to the sobering conclusion that the players in those games are simply better than I am and I should move on to a softer spot.

I don't think I was cheated or that the shuffle was rigged. This may be a first for this site but here goes: "Those guys kicked my ass because they are top notch players. My hats off to you and thanks for the lesson in humility".

You are such a nice person :-)

Yeah, I think there are definitely some top notch professionals there. Some of them can play 2 short handed games at the same time and I would see their stacks going up slow but steadily. And I thought 1 short handed game is hard enough.

Some are worse and a few most likely are better players, but what seems to be happening is you are about average in skill level to everyone else and your part of the rake got you.

12,000 hands would equate to roughly 150 hours (12,000 / 80 hands per hour). $2,000 lost in 150 hours is roughly -$13 per hour, which is about what the rake would have been, roughly.
