UTG calls, MP calls, SB completes, Hero checks


Flop (4 SB): 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif


SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, MP calls, SB calls


Turn (4 BB): 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, MP calls, SB folds

River (7 BB): 9/images/graemlins/club.gif


Hero bets, UTG raises, MP calls, Hero calls

definitely don't fold the river - otherwise, I don't think you could've played it any differently than you did.

Again...I would have 3 bet the river...thinking he had something like A9 and got excited.

I agree. You see trips here way more than a boat. If a set of 2-pair was out there to fill, you would have heard something on the flop or turn. Plus, MP is calling along to pad you're profits when you're good which offsets the times you're not.

Yes, but isnt a flush draw playing this way too? that added to a possible full house made me just call..

I think most flush draws will raise if they flop two of their suit. No one has even twitched except for you, which means you could be betting with as little as an over-pair, or as much as trips. Either way, the 9 thinks he's got you beat or in a kicker battle.

I throw in the re-raise, unless I have some definite reads that indicate otherwise.

I Thank everybody for the replies. I should probably have reraised the river. Also, by reviewing the hand I think also that the regular player with a flush draw would have raised the turn, at the time his flush hits.
