I'm on the verge of going to the doctor to see this, but here's some background.

For about 6-8 weeks last year during March/April I developed a cough that was probably due to allergies. It usually happened due to draining and sinuses.

I was presribed all different sorta of medicines (Zyrtec, Allegra, Claritin) etc, etc and they were all useless.

I'm not sure if doctors can run full tests of what people are allergic to, but I'm highly considering doing something like this since my cough has already come back in mid-February.

Anybody have any recommended remedies for a cough that doesn't involve drugs, in the meantime? I'm managing with throat lossanges (sp).

They do have tests to see what you're allergic to. Go to an allergy specialist.

Dude, your time frame is right about the time the damned pollen explodes around here. My guess is you are getting hammered by all the pollen.

I got tested last year because I had a severe sinus/ear infection brought on by the pollen. It turns out I'm not allergic to anything common, but the sheer numbers of parts per million of pollen around this damned town is what caused it.

I assume you have insurance, so if you have a copay, it'll be around $15 for the doctor's visit and another $15 for the lab results, they do a spread spectrum of the most common allergens, various types of grasses, animal stuff, etc.

I'm in Memphis and my GF really struggles with her allergies and the pollen in Feb and march.

i assume it could be similar to ATL obviously.

She pops a Zyrtec or two (I think) and is usually better....but sometimes is still sniffling and sneezing up a storm.

If it's a season thing then I would think this is the most likely cause.
