just came back from a bathroom break, so i had no read on the villain.

sorry for the format, but bison's doesn't support interpoker.

as a synopsis, .50/1 game at interpoker. i posted out of turn and got dealt 45o, checked around. flop come 236 all spades (i had the 4 of spades). checked to me, i bet the pot. villain says "ok, i'll chase lol" and calls. turn comes a brick. checked again, i check behind. river pairs the board. villain moves all in and i fold. weak/tight?

Given your flop action, I'd bet out again on the turn. Why are you giving a flush draw, set or two pair a free draw at the river? Could villian have 22, 33 or 88 or a made flush? Sure. But you're only behind the flush right now.

Checking the turn almost ensures that a good aggressive player will try to take this pot away from you.

A better line, in my opinion is to check it through on the flop and see if the turn brings another spade and also who makes a move. A made flush isn't going to check the turn because they'll want to make those chasing have to pay, essentially playing the hand the same way I suggest you play the straight.
