Half Life 2 runs suprisingly well on my crappy laptop

I have a laptop with a GeForce 4 420Go card with 32Mb of memory, and Half Life 2 runs very decently at 1024x768, medium settings. Pleasant surprise.

Hmm, odd. Mine runs smooth as hell too but it's still not perfect. 3.4GHZ, GB RAM, Radeon X300. It's so fun though. Nice that it works for you.

I'm planning on getting a new computer. I want to play Halflife 2 pretty badly.

What are the minimum requirements for HL2?

My laptop has a 2.4Ghz P4 and 512Mb of RAM. Both those specs exceed the HL2 minimum. My video card has 32Mb, the HL2 minimum. Check out the website for details.
