View Full Version : clarifying ACR concerns

The biggest issue people seem to have is with the promobucks (pb from here on out). For starters, acr gives away probably $400+ in free money/day called pb (I'm sure the most by any online poker site). Initially pbs can NOT be cashed out nor used in tournaments that require a buyin. Unfortunately there are a lot of misconceptions about them. I'm going to assume someone has $50pb in their acct from various wins, yet has $0 real money. If you sit at a table and turn the $50pbs into $75 you now have $50pbs and $25 real dollars. The $25 real can be used for anything at that site including playing all the tournaments that require an actual buyin. No matter what you have in your acct you can sit at a real money table and play with fellow acr patrons.

People also seem to have issues with the number of raked hands you must play to turn pbs into non-pbs. I dont know how many people would have $50 and immediately sit at a 1/2 or higher at any poker site so the same holds true at this site. If you have ONLY a small amount in your acct there is no reason to start anywhere but at the .25/.50 tables or .5/1 at the very most. I can promise you if you play smart and work your way up the stakes like you should getting the minimum number of raked hands out of the way is as easy as pie. You wont even realize that you're doing it any longer when you have $200-$300 in your acct. You will just consider a pb win a real money win because you know it will get integrated into real money in no time at all.

For the most part, during waking normal playing hours, there is ALWAYS a live host to help people out. People should take full advantage of this if they don't understand something or have some issues. The customer service at this site is impeccable.

Added bonuses during the week:

Monday is football night, you get a free square in the nightly pool and if your numbers hit in any given quarter you get a ton of cash ($200 i think).

Tuesday is $25pb bonus night. If you play 200 hands (not raked or even in the hand, just playing at the table) you get that added to your acct. In point of fact if you play 200 .25/.50 hands and never once play but fold for the whole 200 you will lose roughly $14 and still make $11 just for sitting.

Thursday is another sports pool with hourly high hand giveaways.

Friday more hourly high hand giveaways I believe.

*Total weekly freemoney at this site is roughly $5000. This is everyday of every single week*

The money you may put into, keep, or have at this site is backed by one of the oldest and most trusted sportsbooks. Your money is the safest here as any online gambling site.

Hand histories--someone pointed out how abysmal these are. That is true. Currently the hand history feature is poor but at least you get them promptly.

The software itself has some minor quirks and issues right now but the site is still relatively new. I'm sure if something went wrong and you spoke to a live host they would rectify it for you as best they could.

Lastly game selection. It is true that there are very few games running above $2/4, but in point of fact on most poker sites 2/4 and below probably account for 80% of game play. This site is no different. They also have microlimit PL games and their multi-table tournaments run perfectly. The only real downfall is that there just aren't more than 4 tables running at any given time. I'm sure after reading this though most of you micro-limit players will flock to this site on the chance that you will not have to deposit money to start playing.

I used to prop there.Ive had nothing but good things to say about the site.Only problem other than not many games is that the site has some really deep graphics. If I sit at a table and wait for a game to start, my computer wont let me play other sites like paradise, party, wsex etc.I would like to have 4 tables up while waiting for a game but I guess my computer won't let me (something about not enough bitmap)Anyway I can have a combination of 4 tables at paradise, wsex and pokerstars but when I pull up ACR it shuts everything down. The other sites are a must while waiting for games to start at ACR.BUt I will say that Ive never had any problems cashing out at ACR and the live support team is the best anywhere online.Software is good but takes up too much memory.

Bob L, how much RAM do you have? If you are not maxed out, you should consider adding more.

Nothing like free advertising. The main problem is that it is well known that the internet prop collusion team is known to practice there.

There only seems to be one guy there Ray. Who's he colluding with?

As to the rest of the posts, I know nothing about ACR except what I read here.

That being said, I would never ask the props that I have worked with to accept this type of payment package from a slow site.

It's good that they are going from a prop program to a frequent player points program, since it seems that you are unable to sell your prop program to props. I wonder if you will be able to sell your FPP to players like us.
