This is going to be a 21+ casino right?

Does anyone know if they're strict about this? Like can I just pull, "I forgot my ID."?

The last time I was there (which was a couple of years ago), they were pretty strict about it if you looked young. There aren't many ways in, and they post security by all the doors.

In addition to getting carded at the door, I got carded several other times over the course of the weekend (I have a young face, but am well over 21).

The last few news items I've seen regarding this seem to put the whole idea in doubt...

I spoke with a few people within the casino (managers, etc) within the last month and they r still building the area for it and going ahead as planned

How in the hell you can have video poker but not allow for live poker is beyond me. NC is a beautiful state. I was born and raised here but they do many things asss backwardsss. Nonetheless, i think it is a done deal behind closed doors but must give the opposition its chance to voice its opinion.

I just got this response to my email query about the new poker room.

<<
Plans to open our poker room are still tentative. At this time, we have no updates on when the poker room will be opening. We are hoping for late 2005.

Bummer. I guess working things out with the state and the Indian gaming commision is trickier than they had assumed.
