I am re-reading SSHE, and I am at the part about "Hidden Outs" I understand the concept just fine, and I am able to count my hidden outs almost always(with the mini quizzes in this section) All the quizzes tell you your hand, the board and your opponents hand. Obviously, you wouldn't know your opponent's cards, so how would you count your hidden outs? Are you just supposed to guess your opponents hand and then calculate hidden outs? How much do hidden outs really matter?

That is the hidden answer you must look for.

Hello Gentlemen,

I too have been wrapping my head around this topic.
I found this discussion very helpful, although covering a slightly broader range than hidden outs:

SSHE Book Club - post flop concepts (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=books&Number=1344118&fpart =&PHPSESSID=)

It is a pretty long post but well worth the read. I am still not yet to the point of being able to summarize the ideas conherently....thus the link.

Cheers,
