Hey all,

After being reasonably certain that I can beat the party 1/2 6 soundly (roughly 3bb/100 over 60k hands 4-tabling). I feel I might need to move up to maximize my earn. For those with experience, would you recomend the PS 2/4 6 or the party 2/4 full as softer games? Understandably there would be a learning curve switching from 6 max to full ring, but I think I can handle it.

Cheers in advance,
SP

I doubt Party 2/4 is softer than the 1/2 SH, and remember with SH:

1) It's more fun.
2) You play more hands/hour.

I'd recommend trying the 3/6 SH Paradise for a little bit (I can't say anything about Pokerstars but the 2/4 game SH might be a good move too) with the goal of moving to Party 5/10 after you're comfortable (~20k hands, maybe, if you're winning/feel safe?)

For what it's worth, I've played about 50k hands at 2/4 6max on stars and found it fairly similar to the 1/2 SH games at party (although I've only played about 15k in the party game). You won't see as many hands where the whole table calls 2 bets to see the flop, but there are enough soft players to make it worth playing and a 3+BB/100 winrate seems achievable (caveat being that i'm basing this on only 50k hands or so).

I second stars 2/4, the lower rake is good as well, I also beat it for 3+ over 15-20k hands. More agr than party 1/2 but certainly not great. The stars 3/6 sucked in my short experience.

On a sidenote.

Moving from 1/2 6 max to 2/4 full is't moving up in the sence of earning more. Yes the stakes double but the hands/hour halves so with the same bb/100 you'll roughly be earning the exact same amount. At party I roughly see 100 hands/hr per table at 6max and 50 hands/hr at full ring.
