30 games at $20+2.... let's see how overrated alertness REALLY is.

OBSERVATION #1: While intoxicated and surfing, one notices how little "poker playing" actually occurs. I feel GUILTY folding so much and watching the monkeys bust out.

I decided to try a similar experiment last November. But I wanted make sure that my results were significant, so I decided to play 2000 straight $33's while heavily inebriated. I should have it completed by the end of this month:
SNGs: 1458
ITM: 40.5%
ROI: 22.1%

PS- All results 8-tabling. Unfortunately this inclues a recent 400 SNG bad run. Otherwise I was looking at a 29% ROI which is better than my sober numbers. I talked to Aleo about it, and he says 2000 really isn't enough. So if my drunk numbers remain lower than my sober numbers, I may play another 2000 while drinking just to make sure.

I imagine this is due to your alcohol tolerance increasing.
Drink more to compensate.

You could play fewer games, but drink proportinally more.

How much are you drinking, here? I mean, if you're having a 6-pack and playing that's one thing, a 12-pack another, and a case is quite another.

You will find that results improve dramatically when you shift to Bourbon from Beer.

Careful. I did this last night too but only 4-tabling. I still timed out some hands due to frequent bathroom breaks...damn you Coors Light. Stick to the hard, low volume stuff.
Also, while these experiments are still probably +$EV short term, factoring in the costs of a liver transplant down the road probably makes it break even at best. Unless you live in Canada with free health care!

3 Wine + 4 Beer + 10 games = 50% ITM but MOSTLY 2nd places. I think I was too eager to stab at the pot heads-up thinking "NAHHHH HE DON'T GOT IT!" Conclusion: -EV. But I suppose that's a PALTRY sample...
