View Full Version : Now that I'm murdering LHE 3-6 over the last 50K hands, enter GT/PV:

Is it true that one is best for scouting and the other for playing?. How much will it add to my 4.3 BB/100 HH win rate or will they be a distraction?. Can they both run at same time while 4-tabling or my computer will burp , fart and freeze?.

I don't care much for the search feature, so don't bother suggesting.

I predict that no matter what you do your win rate will be substantially lower over your next 50k hands. Hope I'm wrong /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Use PlayerView.

I hope you are wrong too...

Maybe it's time for me to get a new computer because the old thing really gets slow with 4-tables + PT + PV.

I hate spending $ for a useless purpose though...

your winrate will go down for sure... but PT/PV/GT are surely +EV. no lies, u have been running well

If you are running slow with PV then expect it to be worse with GameTime. And a new computer won't really be a useless purpose, as it's not really that expensive. They always come in handy.

Upgrading your OS may be a cheap alternative. At least it was for me as someone I knew had a Win2K copy I could use. It made a big difference on my old clunker with multi-tabling and GT+, and not just on Party, but other sites too. First easy Windows upgrade too.

To make everyone aware he has run well for 50k hands.

How many hands would you need to be fairly certain that your win rate is 4.3 BB/100, if his win rate is still around 4 BB/100 at 100k hands, how certain could he be? I thought 50-60k hands was enough to get a pretty good idea.

Considering how soft the games are, I wouldn't be surprised if some people can win 4 BB/100. I think that is definitely way above the norm, but not impossible for some of the best players (which he may or may not be).

Thanks for all that responded. I guess I really need a new, faster computer. I loaded 4 tables + PT +PV + GT, and the thing just froze. Totally inoperative.

Re. the rates, I wasn't bragging. I'd brag if I could do as well on the 15-30, like some real good players.

I'm told that to fix one's winrate with any accuracy one would need 1,000,000 hands. So I indeed hope I continue to run well... so I can afford the new computer+monitor, etc.

I guess I better make the expense now, before I risk my BR at higher levels.

No, you weren't bragging at all. *barf*

Have you met bicyclekick from the Mid/High forum? I think you guys would hit it off really well.

I tried to get his 4+ BB/100 PT DB to see how he plays, but he didn't even answer my PMs.

If you have an observed win rate of 4.3BB/100 and a Standard Deviation of 16BB/100 (typical), then you can say with 95% confidence that your true win rate lies between +5.7BB/100 and +2.9BB/100

To put it another way if 200 players each with a true win rate of 3BB/100 each played 50k hands, 5 would report observed win rates of >4.4BB/100 and 5 would report observed win rates of <1.6BB/100.

At the Session Notes Tab in your DB hit the More Detail button in the top right. This will pop up a window that at the bottom part has your SD/100 and SD/hr

Yup. Up to 4.32 BB/100 now, after bonus-orgy week.
