I have an understanding of most everything I read on 2+2 except this. When evaluating a session, what exactly is XBB/100 ? I assume it is the result of how well you did in your session.

Thanks

However many bets you won per 100 hands. The easiest way to do it is to multiply Bets won by 100 and then divide by hands. IE.

You played 300 hands and won 9 bets. 9*100/300 = 3, so your winrate for that session was 3 BB/100.

Ok, that makes sense. I play Bodog mostly and the stats show I win roughly 12-14% of my hands so my result would be 14BB/100 ?

What is a good BB/100 ?

NO, it's big bets won, not number of hands won. Big bets meaning the amount of the larger betting round in a limit game.

Ok, for example, I played a 3/6 session last night with a $90 profit (30 minutes or so)? I don't know the number of hands played so is it impossible to figure the BB/100? I made 15x the BB.

Yes, you made 15 bb. Divide that by the number of hands, in hundreds, which is unknown, so you cannot figure bb/100 for this session. If your session was 50 hands then your results for that session were +30bb/100 hands. It's a more useful stat for tracking your winrate over many thousands of hands than it is for such a short session though.

I understand now. I will start keeping up with that. Bodog isn't compatable with PT so I have to use the little stats they offer.

What is a good BB rate?

2 bb/100 is nothing to sneeze at.

So 2BB over 1000 hands of 5/10 is a $20 profit?

I hope you are kidding when you say that is nothing to sneeze at. Overall I am a little better than break even but what do the internet pros average? (not that I'm shooting for that, I just want to start gauging my play better.

Is there another thread this has been discussed in?

2 BB/100 over 1000 hands of 5/10 would be $200, not $20. And yes, that would represent a good winrate in that game.

2 big bets per 100 hands

so 2bb/100 at 5/10 for 1000 hands would be 20 big bets, or 200 bucks

I understand now, thank you.

Now I can see how the best week I had online went. Two months ago I made $800 on 2/4 in roughly 3000 hands. That is like 6.7BB/100 then, correct?

BTW, a 2 hour session at 10/20 took care of about 600 of that LOL. I decide I wasn't ready for 10/20 LOL.
