I was looking at the 2/4 full games last night and I saw soft games on Paradise where 4 or 5 went to the flop? When did the former rock garden become so loose? Is this a trend or was it just an abberation...... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've always thought Paradise as this soft since last September, but many people thought otherwise.

I actually think it's tightening up from all the whores clearing the superbowl bonus.

I haven't watched their games in a while. They used to be ultra-tight. Funny but the Sklansky clones are chopping each other up at Party, but aren't at the orignal rock garden....

The game is always stay one step ahead of the pack, just one step ahead.

I call the tightening up of sites everytime there's a new bonus the Zoo migration and try to steer clear of it if possible.

It's been this way for a bit. Before the bonus started the 2/4 tables were running around 38-40% without much table selection.

Even this weekend was good. Tonight sucked though.

No PlayerView + No Rakeback = No multitabling semipro TAGs

I think Paradise is currently what a site looks like with a majority of recreational players. They could also be attracting players from the sportsbook.

Matbe all the whores who are used to the soft Party games are making the games looser /images/graemlins/grin.gif
As soon as the bonuses are cleared it might go back to being the rock garden again.

It was better before the bonus. I don't have the greatest table selection criteria in the world and tend to stay longer than I should at tight tables. However over my last 10,000 hands I have played 3000 at Paradise and the see flop % was 38%. Over 4500 hands at party that number was 34%.

38% average is very good! My cut off point is 25% - then I leave the table.

For some reason I laugh everytime I see this post. Just gives me a funny mental image.

As a side note, even Pokerstars has been sporting some better games the last few weeks. I four-table and play about 5-6 times a week in 3-4 hour sessions. It is not unusual on 2-3 of those nights for me to be playing on all three sites.

The games are simply easier to scout on these sites. There are fewer of them, the relevant stats are displayed, and since the player pool is smaller you are more likely to have notes on a pretty good percentage of the table.

Also the below average players tend to play longer sessions than the ones at party, I think it is because these games are a little more social, since it is more likely that many people at the table have played with each other before.

Very soft--I'vebeen clearing my bonus primarily at 1/2 5MAX. Average table I have been sitting is 50-70% VP$IP during peak hours and 40-60% duing the day.

I found a guy last night at a 3/6 5MAX table who played 60-70% of his hands. The trick was he always--everytime--coldcalled any preflop raise--3 bet or cap. He took his $100 buyin to up over $400 at one point. And back down. =)

I asked him about it at one point--like the fifth time he busted big slick with 62o...he told me he was "expirementing." He was also incredibly passive postflop and like to either fold to a turn bet about 70% of the time

It certainly seems softer than Party to me.

Experimenting with playing 62o. That's not quite as dumb an experiment as soaking your hand in a 10% NaOH solution for half an hour to see what happens, but it's close.

Keep this a secret, but the softest low limit games are at the new stand alone sites with few players.

You won't find the bonus whores or the skilled players there, it's just not worth it.

But if you can find four of these new sites with one soft game each, you can multi table four games between them.

Plus the MTT action at these sites can be very very worthwhile.

If you haven't lately, you need to check out all these new stand alone sites that keep popping up like weeds. They may never make much of a dent in player base, but that doesn't mean the few games they do have aren't worthwhile.

I agree - the games are soft I'm up 60 BB while clearing my Granny bonus over about 4 sessions of 3 tabling, I'm pretty happy with it.
