Poker Rate

I just booked a room at Excaliber for next sunday-monday nights and the poker room manager said you book the room at the normal price and after you play 5 hrs/day you get the discounted rate. I just want to make sure this is the normal procedure so I dont have to pay $160 a night.

I would call the poker room to make sure. At Tunica, you book your room through the poker room. I don't know about the Excalibur.

This is true...if you let the poker mgr. know you are staying at the hotel you'll get the poker rate after 5 hrs/day. I let him know each day when I was cashing out and he took care of me.

This was the same at Mandalay Bay. They said since it's my first time to just book the room first and then after playing poker then they'll take care of the discount afterward.
