View Full Version : What's your longest run of bad luck?

I'm currently at -.04BB/100 hands over the last 3500 hands at 2/4. My won $ WSF is a miserable 31% considering my VPIP is only 16%. The fish are hitting every draw under the sun, or maybe Party/Empire is just taking my bonus money and giving it to them - LOL.

Anybody else ever run bad for this long?

You should try the search function for info about this. If you're looking for a little consoling, rest assured, someone out there has lost longer and for a lot more money than you have /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Umm, wow, how to start...

Your VP$IP is only 16? That's actually about right in my book. Maybe 17% if you want. Over the course of 40k hands at Party 2/4 my WSF is 30.5%. So you're not really running that bad.

And 3500 hands is nothing. I believe Zetack had a long streak he talked about here. Baby, you're just getting started.

You have a lot to learn. A lot better players have gone on worse streaks for a longer time. 3500 hands ain't [censored].

Thanks, I really just needed to read something like that to make me feel a little better. All the bad beats are really starting to annoy me because I know I'm playing better poker than the majority of the fools at Party 2/4. Of course, now I see that 3500 hand isn't really much to get worried about, although for me that's about 3 weeks worth so it seems like a lot.

Part of it is relative, though. To some people on here, 3500 hands is a slow week (or just a few days); to others, that's a month. So even if the bad streak has lasted only 3500 hands, it can be a lot longer to some people.

But the core point is still true--3500 hands isn't even a blip on the statistical radar when it comes to poker.
