I'm waiting for the turn to raise, becasue a flop raise can't protect your hand and, and a turn raise is likely to be more profitable b/c more opponents will have called.

Of course, that's easy to say now that I can see the action after your decision point on the flop. You should have ended the post with "Hero...?" when the flop initially came 1 to you.

The flop raise is good. He was last to act and had 4 people in in front of him. (It is unfortunate that they all folded for two more, but ...) He can never protect his hand here, not even on the turn. I might be persuded not to cap it on the flop (since we are now down to head up and we have position), but the first raise is easy.

Not raising this flop would be criminal. 3 bets preflop, don't coldcall.

Because of the coordinated nature of the board, I don't think I would've capped the flop. Also seeing the SB bet into me on the turn and the river, I would've just called the bet on the river - especially as the Ace put 3 to a flush on the board. Otherwise, I don't think there is anything more you could've done to protect your hand. That's just an unlucky beat.

Hero's equity here is pretty enormous here not to cap the flop.
