Has anyone requested their account be deleted from Empire before and then re-sign up with a rake rebate program?
Any problems?

Was all your other personal info the same as well? No problems?

I asked both Party and Empire to close my accounts. Empire closed it but Party only froze it. When I signed up with the rakeback I used the same address/neteller info. Only the email was different and I've had no problems so far...

Did you open a new account at Party where they just froze your account or just Empire?

Hmm -- I'm interested in giving this a try. What do you guys usually say to empire / how do you get them to close your account?

You can tell them anything you like, usually "gambling problem" or "concerned of online wagering legality" will get you a no questions asked job done.

And then you can just create a new account the next day with a new affiliate? Hmm.

I read somewhere (it might have been here) that a guy emailed empire and said that he wanted them to close his account so he could sign up with an affiliate and get rake back, and if they didnīt he would leave and play somewhere else. They closed his account and he was able to sign up with an affiliate.

They are probably flexible if you play a lot. 70% of something is more than 100% of nothing.

Does your name change too or can you keep the same name?

I would STRONGLY recommend against this approach unless you are a REALLY high-volume player....in which case I would recommend against this approach, but not as strongly.

You MIGHT find the right person who says 'well...we know they're all getting rake-back anyway. no big deal'
...but most of the time you'll just get someone who is by-the-book and says 'we don't allow rake-back....there is no rake-back allowed at our site and none of our players are getting rake-back.'

This is an interesting reason. I actually asked Party Poker whether I could do this because they couldn't delete an unused account. They encouraged me to do this with a new email address. Only their terms of agreement only allow for one account per person. So, they could close my new account and take my money whenever they wanted to. So since, I have two accounts on Party Poker (they were the ones who told me to do it), and since they can take my money whenever they want from my active account, I will not play there with my own money deposited. I withdrew everything when I realized this.

Remember, on this forum, you get zero support if you violate the T&C - and you certainly will have no legal recourse. So be prepared to lose everything if the casino ever decides to take your money. It does happen as the big thread on this forum suggests.

Got any proof that Party encouraged you to violate their terms and conditions?
