newish table... Viillain seems LAG, though no specifics. He's been in more than his share of hands and has not been passive post flop.

Calls down. Figuring out how many bets to go with your overpair seems like one of the more subjective situations. This seems like just about the right amount based on your read, and your raise might have gotten utg to fold a hand with a decent # of outs.

I would not have raised the turn. When he bets into you after your flop cap, you have to put him on AA or KK, w/ AA being much more likely.

hero spewed an extra 2 BB in this hand. if it walks like a duck...yada yada...

Is he capping preflop with 88, 44 or 33?

Now that is quite LAGy, though certainly not unheard of.

BTW, call the turn, call the river.
