Very early on in a 10+1 sng I ride the gutshot on the flop and see my top pair, weak kicker to the river. Question is, should I have folded the turn? Many thanks.

fold PF. Turn isn't terrible, position on riv helps.

you're calling a pot sized bet to hit a non-club 3 on the river. I don't see how that would be profitable in the long run.

Few players will bluff or else bet a middle pair on a turn that just showed an ace, especially in early position. There's almost no chance you're ahead with just a 4 kicker. The only thing that goes in your favour is the fact that SB just completed, but that'd be correct with an ace up to ten kicker. Ace with a 2 or 3 kicker would probably bet the river, not the turn.

this is an ez fold PF-- no question.
why get involved this early in tourn with less than mediocre hand.

BUT-- since you did play it...my taste would have to be to find out where I stand. You must figure out (gather clues) to see where you are at. I would prolly lay a bit of a raise on hiom here - you may get the pot right there; you may get a free card; you may have the best hand; BUT you will get information as to where he stands. All of this would make me wanna play it faster.

but again...you dont really wanna be in these tuf decision spots this early with these types of hands... be more selective until about 50-100 blind level.
