For further proof that I'm right (as if you'd ever need it), see this video. The "z" in Alizee does not have a spellable pronunciation in english.

he's absurdly wrong, but you're off too. the letter Z (spoken out as 'zed') doesn't have a "jh" sound, it's more like an S. G is what has the "jh" sound.

it's further proof you're wrong. listen to the GUY when she goes off stage. he has a perfect french accent. the woman who calls her "aleejhay" is speaking english with a nasal accent, probably some random european.

pronouncing it as you described sounds more like how a 60 year-old woman from kentucky would pronounce her name, not a rapper

Schaefer

No! I call her Aa-li-zay! You don't call a classy broad "Biotch".

I've been just thinking lizzy in my head. But it's hilarious that after all this, no one seems to be able to pronounce it.

Dude, pronounce it like a rapper pronounces Alize, the alcohol. Your grandma's a grandma.

This is correct. The first and second syllables should be fairly short, maybe half the length of the third. (My French is a little out of practice now, but I was close to fluent back in the day.)

Why do you care how it is pronounced? Its not like you are going to be screaming out her name in the middle of the night or anything.

I was wondering about that OBL avatar, I figured there must have been some sort of legitimate reason for it, as nobody has been calling you out on it yet. haha, nice choice by Zeph
